JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Compliance and Processing
Responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory and reporting packages submitted to third parties
Take the lead on required filings by executing the established plan and adhering to the deadlines outlined on the compliance calendar
Fully responsible for all aspects of an audit from review of request, collection of data and documentation, communication with auditor and locations, to the evaluation and response to audit findings
Communicate with locations, regulatory agencies, trustees, internal departments and other third parties on all matters involving trust accounts and regulatory compliance associated with the contracts and trusting laws
Research complex issues and provide resolutions
Identify and implement process improvements
Respond to internal requests as needed
Takes full ownership of all trust matters related to the state under area of responsibility
Assist with special projects as necessary
MINIMUM Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
Experience
Four (4) years of experience in a compliance, audit, financial reporting, accounting, or equivalent role in a related field
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Well organized, ability to prioritize high traffic emails and workload
Ability to analyze and audit data and provide recommendations
Ability to work independently, multitasking, prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines
Ability to prepare and present organized working papers and supporting documentation
Proficiency with PC software such as Excel, other Microsoft Office applications
Ability to express ideas clearly and effectively in both written and oral communications
Ability to work well under pressure
Comfortable communicating with regulatory entities and other associates
Occasional travel may be required

Work Environment
Limited amount of local and/or multiple location traveling required
Standard business dress required
Work Postures
Sitting continuously for many hours per day, up to 6 hours per day
Physical Demands
Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is required, includes paperwork, calculators, computers and phone usage
Work Hours
Working a number of evenings each month as need to ensure deadlines are met
Working past standard business hours is expected between January 1 and June 1 each year
