The Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) is now taking applications for an Animation Specialist position to be domiciled in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the LED FastStart Initiative.

SUMMARY:

LED FastStart, Louisiana Economic Development’s single-source, workforce solutions provider is building a world-class team to support Louisiana’s workforce for new and expanding companies. Our primary focus is to assist companies in selection and training. We work with each company and develop and deliver customized training programs for their processes. We are in partnership with the Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) and Louisiana Workforce Commission (LWC). Our curriculum will be delivered during pre and post employment and enable the company to launch a new operation or to expand an existing operation. Our commitment to our customers is 24/7 responsiveness through value added training materials and programs.

The Animation Specialist will be responsible for planning, analyzing, and creating animated visual solutions to create/enhance training materials. This will require producing photo realistic 3D motion graphics of training materials using a variety of tools and software programs. The ideal candidate will create animations and 3D models as part of daily responsibilities. The Animation Specialist will create special effects using photography, videography and computer- generated models for use in products for e-learning training material delivered via web-based training programs, intranet systems, CD and DVD based media.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Creating graphics and animation to support e-Learning
• Coordinate and manage all 3D production and delivery through timelines and schedules with Media Services and internal and external customers
• Supervise department personnel working on animation products during the project
• Resource management
• Records management
• Data collection and reporting for projects completed
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree or higher in Fine Arts or a minimum of five (5) years experience with a professional portfolio demonstrating advanced design skills and experience in animation to support e-learning products as well as video products. An extensive working knowledge of Cinema 4D, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat and InDesign are requirements for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

Ten years experience.

Physical & Environmental Requirements:

• Ability to multi-task and coordinate activities to ensure timely delivery of work production
• Ability to travel and drive own or other vehicle to various locations as needed
• Ability to carry up to 20 pounds on an as needed basis

Additional Requirements:

• Proof of education

• A valid Louisiana Driver’s License
• Proof of motor vehicle insurance

Compensation:

Compensation will be commensurate with education and work experience.
