Arcosa Marine is searching for an Electrician for our Madisonville, LA plant.

Responsibilities:
•Inspect, repair, install and wire all electrical or electronic apparatus, devices and circuits of any voltage in or out of the plant or assigned area.
•Receives instructions, wiring diagrams and specifications covering the scheduled and/or emergency repair, installation and inspection work to be done.
•Analyzes all types of drawings schematics and operating instructions to locate and install circuits and equipment to determine material or replacement needs and to select a logical approach to "trouble shooting" and repair problems.
•Applies all safety precautions and the proper isolation of circuit to cause minimum interference to operations. Installs conduit, fittings, motor switches, controls and fixtures.
•Wires and connects all types of electrical equipment and electronics as required for new installation or replacement of facilities.
•Makes all required splices and connector joints.
•Observes all standard safety practices, maintains and completes all required records for purposes of monitoring/measuring productivity and use of materials and equipment.

Requirements:
•3 or more years of high voltage electrical experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Candidates with commercial or residential experience are encouraged to apply and will be considered based on work history.
•Understands principles of electricity/electrical control and understands general electrical schematics.
•Fully capable of trouble shooting and testing all electrical applications.
•Experience working with pipe threaders is a plus.
•Must be able to climb ladders or stairs to reach objects.
•Able to work effectively in a hot or cold environment while wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
•May require working above ground (15 ft or more).
•Must be able to climb ladders or stairs to reach objects; comfortable with heights.
•May require working in narrow or confined work spaces for extended periods of time.
•May require extensive kneeling, bending, walking and/or standing for long periods of time.
