The Sunshine Project is planning to create 1,200 new direct jobs. FG is coordinating with Louisiana Economic Development to hire qualified employees locally and throughout the region for The Sunshine Project. We will post available positions and collect resumes here.
The Sunshine Project will consist of three main units - Ethylene Glycol, Ethylene and Propylene. These units make products that help manufacture many common items we use everyday.
Ethylene Glycol is used to make numerous products used every day, such as plastic bottles, polyester fibers for clothing and antifreeze for our vehicles.
Polyethylene is used to make a variety of products like plastic grocery bags, artificial football turf and large plastic playground equipment.
Polypropylene is used to make many common products including car casings, ropes and drainage pipes.
